Boy Shadar was a great peace fighter that had been asleep inside a glass dome. One day, however he's awakened by the temple guardians to fight against the evil Spector, a monster with pointy ears and fangs.
Spectrum was no ordinary evil doer, his eternal companion was on other than a kitten named "Cata" who liked to boss everyone around!
Boy Shadar had many tricks up his sleeve, one of his abilities was to replicate himself to keep the enemy busy trying to figure out which one was the 'real one,' he also used a sword that would send some sort of laser ray out of it.
Some of the friends who fought by his side were Dr. Mambo (who had a friend named Dr. Rumba), a dog named Pimbaud and later on he became friends with a boy named Rocko.
Boy Shadar was a very limited distributed Anime back then; besides Mexico it was also broadcasted in countries such as Peru and Italy, where it was known as "La Spada di Luce". In Brazil this Anime was known as "Shadow Boy".
Also and as information on the side, in regards to this series there was no introduction to it, the way it was presented was a narrator giving the name of the episode and then the show started. There were no credits to it.
