Morita-san usually 'disappears' for weeks and when he comes back he's packed with money but he's extremely tired, as if he had been working for days without eating or resting any. He never tells anyone where is set off every time and no one knows when he'll be back either.

The story follows these characters' life stories as poor college students, as well as their love lives when a short but talented 18 year old girl called Hanamoto Hagumi appears.
