OGON BAT, Fantasmagórico




A group of scientists discover an ancient egyptian grave with a Phantom's body inside it. According to the leyend, Phantom was none other than the prince of the legendary Atlantis and he could be brought back to life with a few drops of water on his chest. The Scientists decide to give the legend a try, thus bringing our hero back to life; Fantasmagórico devotes his new life to save his new friends from evil doers.


At first glimpse one could mistake Fantasmagorico with one of the bad guys, due to his appearance. Also very characteristic of him was to 'announce himself' with a loud, sinister laugh before making his entrance; his enemies got real nervous upon hearing this laughter as they knew the hero was about to kick their butts.


Among the scientists were Dr. Steel, his son Terry, his friend Gaby and Mary; she was the one who usually called upon our hero by crying out: "Fantasmagorico, please come help us!" Everytime Mary would call out Fantasmagórico a golden bat (Ogon in japanese means 'golden' therefore Ogon Bat means 'Golden Bat') would appear first, flying in the sky and after two seconds his particular loud laughter was heard.

When Fantasmagórico showed up then that first golden bat wouldl fly to our hero's shoulder and would take the shape of a tatoo there. Fantasmagóricos antagonist was none other than Doctor Zero, he was the lider of a group of goons dreessed all in black who used a cone-shaped ship to go everywhere to do theier bad deeds. Dr. Zero alwasy announced himself also by someone screaming: Zeeeeroooo!!!
