Tanaka Yukio, better known by his nickname Koyuki is a 14 year old who feels disconnected from life in general and was an ordinary student who didn't have special interests or specialties. Through the act of saving a mismatched dog, he meets guitarist Minami Ryuusuke, and becomes involved in Ryuusuke's new band BECK. Koyuki's life starts to change as the band struggles towards fame.
He used to think of a pop star, Kuniyoshi Chiemi, who came from Okinawa as the best artist ever. However, the shocking meeting with a charismatic band group, Dying Bride, something in his life began to change.
The rest or the story revolves around the formation of this band and the ups and downs that comes with such an endeavor.
A very entretaining anime for sure, Beck is about not giving up and working hard for your dream. It is also about friendship and staying true to yourself. I enjoyed watching this anime and must say everytime I work on my webpage I listen to this soundtrack. Like right now, I am listening to it.
